There are some adjacent rooms with additional informations. Many models of airships can be seen around the exhibition. The main part is the development of airships from many different countries and their respective history. Fittingly the model’s name is “Maybach Zeppelin” Throughout the museum you can learn everything from the first lighter-than-air flights beginning with the experiments carried out by the Montgolfier brothers to the successful flights of the Zeppelins. Not in the A380 and not in any other airplane that exists today!” At the beginning of the round tour stands a Maybach automobile. When I visited this part of the museum I understood the comment I heard earlier in a TV documentary: “Never again in the history of aviation did commercial passengers travel as luxurious as they did on board the Hindenburg. One of the highlights is a life-sized cross section of the passenger cabins and the restaurant of the Hindenburg. I visited this great museum at least six or seven times in the past 20 years and it never failed to impress me. The building used to be the train station “Hafenbahnhof”, which today can be found next to the museum. ![]() The Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen is dedicated to Count Zeppelin and his invention, the eponymous airships that dominated the skies in the beginning of the 20th century. ![]()
